The Armenian national team defeated the Azerbaijani team

In the 7th round of the World Chess Olympiad held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the Armenian women's national team defeated the Azerbaijani team with a score of 2.5–1.5.

International Master Lilit Mkrtchyan and Grandmaster Elina Danielian secured victories.

Woman Grandmaster Mariam Mkrtchyan’s game ended in a draw, while Susanna Gaboyan suffered a defeat.

After seven rounds, the Armenian women's national team has 12 team points out of a possible 14 (2 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss).
