Chess Olympiad: Opponents of the Armenian teams in round 6

The matches of the 6th round of the World Chess Olympiad, taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, will be held on September 21.

The Armenian national team will face the team from Iran.

In the previous rounds, the Armenian team defeated Barbados (4–0), Scotland (3.5–0.5), Sweden (2.5–1.5), and Argentina (2.5–1.5), and drew with China (2–2).

The Iranian team defeated Mozambique (4–0) and Bolivia (3.5–0.5), drew with Belgium (2–2), and defeated Moldova (4–0) and Lithuania (3–1).

The Armenian women's national team will face Latvia in the 6th round.

In previous rounds, the Armenian female chess players defeated Hong Kong (3.5–0.5), Singapore (3–1), and Croatia (4–0), lost to Kazakhstan (1–3), and defeated Peru (3–1).

The Latvian team defeated Cape Verde (4–0) and Kyrgyzstan (2.5–1.5), lost to Poland (0–4), and defeated Malaysia (3–1) and Ecuador (3–1).

A total of 11 rounds will be played at the Olympiad.
