Chess Olympiad: Opponents of the Armenian teams in the fourth round
10:02 19 September, 2026In the fourth round of the World Chess Olympiad taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the Armenian national team will face the team from Argentina.
Both teams have secured three victories. In the previous rounds, the Armenian team defeated Barbados (4–0), Scotland (3.5–0.5), and Sweden (2.5–1.5).
Argentina defeated Kenya (4–0), South Korea (2.5–1.5), and Sudan (4–0).
The Armenian women's national team will face the team from Kazakhstan.
In previous rounds, the Armenian female chess players defeated Hong Kong (3.5–0.5), Singapore (3–1), and Croatia (4–0).
Kazakhstan defeated Botswana (4–0), Bosnia and Herzegovina (3–1), and Slovenia (3.5–0.5).
The Olympiad will consist of 11 rounds.
