Chess Olympiad: Third consecutive victory for Armenia's teams

Armenia's national teams secured their third consecutive victory at the 46th World Chess Olympiad taking place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

In the third round, the women's team defeated the Croatian team with a score of 4–0.

Lilit Mkrtchyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan, Elina Danielian, and Susanna Gaboyan all won their matches.

The men's team defeated the Swedish team with a score of 2.5–1.5.

Grandmaster Gabriel Sargissian secured the winning point for the team.

Grandmasters Haik Martirosyan, Shant Sargsyan, and Manuel Petrosyan played to draws.

A total of 11 rounds will be played at the Olympiad.
