Yamal: I deserve the Ballon d'Or award
17:04 14 September, 2026The 19-year-old winger for the Spanish national team Lamine Yamal reigning World and European champions and the Spanish champions Barcelona, has commented on the race for the Ballon d'Or, identifying himself and French forward Kylian Mbappe as the best footballers in the world.
"I think Mbappe and I are the two best footballers in the world. That is obvious to me. Everyone who watches the matches knows it. In my opinion, considering my achievements, I am the one who deserves the award this year," Movistar quotes Yamal as saying.
Earlier, the French publication France Football released the list of 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or.
