Arman Tsarukyan: The fight against Rufi is a title fight for me
10:06 14 September, 2026Arman Tsarukyan (Armenia), the No. 2-ranked title contender in the lightweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has spoken about the importance of his upcoming fight against Brazil's Mauricio Ruffy.
The bout will take place on September 20 at the UFC 331 event in Los Angeles.
"I consider the fight against Ruffy to be a title-defining bout for me, because if I lose, I will never see a title fight again. That is why I am highly motivated and hungry for victory.
He has a very good striking game and has knocked out many opponents, but now it is my time," Fight Digitale quotes Arman Tsarukyan as saying.
The 29-year-old Tsarukyan holds a record of 23 wins and 3 losses in MMA.
