Real Madrid thrash Rayo Vallecano

In the fifth round of the Spanish La Liga, runners-up Real Madrid faced Rayo Vallecano at home and secured a 4–1 victory (video).

French forward Kylian Mbappe scored a brace for the team managed by Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho. Spanish defender Alvaro Carreras and English midfielder Jude Bellingham also got on the scoresheet.

Real Madrid sit in second place with 12 points. Rayo Vallecano have 4 points and are in 15th place.
