Laporta on Barcelona's main objective
19:18 9 September, 2026Joan Laporta, president of Spanish champions Barcelona, has outlined the club's main sporting objective for the season.
"Our goal is to win the Spanish league title for the third consecutive time. We also aim to defend the domestic cup title. Furthermore, we want to win the Super Cup to make a statement midway through the season and show that we are here to win La Liga.
And, of course, we want to win the Champions League. I would say the Champions League is the main goal," AS quotes Laporta as saying.
In the first round of the Champions League, Barcelona will host the Dutch club Feyenoord on September 9. The match will kick off at 20:45 Armenia time.
