US Open. Karen Khachanov advances to the quarterfinals

World No. 50 Karen Khachanov (Russia) has advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open in New York. The 30-year-old Armenian tennis player defeated the world No. 15, 20-year-old American Learner Tien, with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 6-7 (6-8), 6-1, 6-4. The match lasted 3 hours and 53 minutes.

Karen Khachanov's next opponent will be the world No. 34, 21-year-old Belgian Alexander Blockx.

The US Open prize fund is $108 million.
