El Shaarawy returns to Genoa
19:07 3 September, 2026Forward Stephan El Shaarawy has returned to the Italian club Genoa as a free agent. The 33-year-old footballer signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional year, the club's website reports.
El Shaarawy is a product of Genoa's youth academy. Last season, he made 26 appearances for Roma, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
He has also played for Padova, Genoa, Monaco, Milan, and Shanghai Shenhua.
Stephan El Shaarawy has made 32 appearances and scored 7 goals for the Italian national team.
Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value at €2.4 million.
