Spertsyan's assist propels Al-Ahli to crushing victory

In the preliminary round of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, the Saudi club Al-Ahli winners of the AFC Champions League defeated New Zealand's Auckland 1–0.

Forward Saleh Abu Al-Shamat scored in the 63rd minute. The assist was provided by Armenian national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan (video).

In the next round, Al-Ahli will face the South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, winners of the CAF Champions League.
