Argentina will play the 7th World Cup final in their history. Argentina has drawn level with Brazil, which has also reached the final 7 times. The record holder is Germany - 8 times.

Argentina also played in the World Cup final in 1930, 1978, 1986, 1990, 2014, and 2022, winning in 1978, 1986, and 2022.

In the semifinals of the current World Cup, Argentina won a close match against England with a score of 2-1, and will face European champion Spain in the final, after eliminating France.
