14:02 10 July, 2026Four representatives of Armenia finished among the top ten at the 2026 European Youth Blitz Chess Championship that concluded in Rzeszow, Poland, the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation reports.
Accordingly, Manvel Vardanyan scored 14 points out of 18, tying for 1st–4th place in the U10 category. He took the silver medal on tie-breaks.
Sofia Baghramyan scored 13 points and won the bronze medal in the U10 Girls category.
FM Vache Hovakimyan scored 12.5 points, tying for 3rd–5th place in the U18 category. He finished 5th on tie-breaks.
FM Manvel Arakelyan scored 13 points, tying for 4th–6th place in the U16 category. He finished 6th on tie-breaks.
