Mbappe becomes youngest footballer to play 20 matches at World Cups
11:04 10 July, 20262022 FIFA World Cup runners-up France and Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has become the youngest footballer in history to play 20 matches at the World Cups.
Mbappe played in France’s 2026 World Cup quarterfinal match against Morocco at the age of 27 years and 201 days.
Mbappe broke the respective age record of Polish defender Wladyslaw Zmuda, set in 1982 (28 years and 34 days).
In 20 games, Mbappe has scored just as many goals and provided 6 assists.
Mbappe played all these matches under the helm of the manager of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, which is also a record.
Kylian Mbappe made his World Cup debut in 2018 in Russia, winning the title.
