2026 World Cup: Morocco top scorer won't play against France

16:15   9 July, 2026

The forward of the Moroccan national team, Ismael Saibari, will not be able to participate in their 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal match against 2022 World Cup runners-up France.

The Bayern Munich rookie suffered a hamstring injury in Morocco’s Round of 16 clash against Canada (3-0) at 2026 World Cup.

"Except for Saibari, all the players are ready. Saibari does not have time to recover. I hope that we will have one more match in this championship, and he will take to the pitch here again," said Mohamed Wahbi, manager of the Moroccan national team, ESPN reports.

The France vs. Morocco match will be played Thursday and will kick off Friday at midnight Armenia time.
