2026 World Cup favorites announced

Goal.com has presented the favorites before the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

France, ranked second in the world, ranks first, and Spain, ranked second in Europe. 

England and reigning World Cup champions Argentina are also expected to advance to the semifinals.

The favorites are as follows:

Spain
England
Argentina
Norway
Morocco
Switzerland
Belgium

The quarterfinals will begin Thursday, with the France vs. Morocco clash.
