2026 World Cup: Switzerland beat Colombia

Switzerland faced Colombia in Vancouver, Canada, in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, won 4-3 in a penalty shootout, and advanced to the quarterfinals .

The match had ended in a goalless draw after both regular and extra time.

Switzerland will face the defending World Cup champions, Argentina, in the quarterfinals. Argentina had secured their spot in the quarterfinals by defeating Egypt 3-2 in the Round of 16.
