U20 European Wrestling Championships: Armenia’s Samvel Terteryan defeats Azerbaijan opponent, wins gold

Samvel Terteryan of Armenia won gold at the U20 European Wrestling Championships 2026 being held in the capital of North Macedonia, Skopje.

In the final of the 77kg weight category of the Greco-Roman wrestling competition, Terteryan defeated Azerbaijan’s representative 4-0 and became the gold medalist.

Separately, Armenia’s Edgar Petrosyan (55 kg) and Aleks Margaryan (63 kg) became silver medalists.

And, Armenia’s Iurik Petrosian won the bronze medal match in the 87kg weight category.
