2026 World Cup: Morocco in Round of 16

Morocco played the Netherlands in Guadalupe, Mexico, and won on penalties in the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time.

Netherlands and Liverpool striker Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the 72nd minute.

Morocco and Fulham defender Issa Diop equalized in the first minute of added time.

No goals were scored in extra time.

And Morocco won 3-2 on penalties.

They will face Canada in the Round of 16.
