2026 World Cup: France vs. Iraq match interrupted due to lightning

The 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage match between France and Iraq in Philadelphia, USA, has been interrupted indefinitely. The reason is lightning and rain.

After the first half, France are leading 1-0.

The only goal was scored in the 14th minute by Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe, who is playing his 100th match for the French national team and has netted his 15th goal in the World Cups.
