2026 World Cup: Mexico beat South Korea, book spot in Round of 32

Mexico became the first team to qualify for the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In the second round of the group stage, the Mexicans defeated South Korea 1-0 in Zapopan, Mexico.

Chivas de Guadalajara midfielder Luis Romo scored the only goal in the 50th minute.

Mexico secured first place in Group A, with 6 points, while South Korea are second, with 3 points.
