13:29 24 October, 2025At the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia, Armenia’s representative and European silver medalist Mamikon Khachatryan won the silver medal.
In the pommel horse final, the 19-year-old gymnast scored 14.600 points, earning the title of world vice-champion.
Armenia’s second representative in this event, European champion and two-time junior world champion Hamlet Manukyan, finished fourth with a score of 14.433 points.
In the qualification round, Khachatryan scored 14.400 points, while Manukyan scored 14.500 points.
The world champion title went to China’s Yanmin Yong, who scored the same as Khachatryan—14.600 points. The bronze medalist was the United States’ Parik Hups, who scored 14.566 points.
Both Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan were participating in the senior World Championships for the first time.
Also reaching the finals in Jakarta was Olympic silver medalist, world champion, and three-time European champion Artur Davtyan. In the pommel horse qualification, Davtyan scored 14.566 points, ranking second. The final with the Olympic silver medalist will take place on October 25.
