Conference League: What they planned, they were able to show on the pitch, Armenia’s Noah manager says
10:02 3 October, 2025Armenian Premier League titleholders and Cup winner Noah's Croatian head coach Sandro Perkovic commented on their 1-0 win at home against Croatian champions Rijeka in Matchday 1 of the UEFA Conference League.
Noah's players played very high-level football. They were brave, they gave everything, and deservedly won. It's always nice to start the tournament with 3 points. What they planned, they were able to show on the pitch, Perkovic said.
Rijeka has very good players, six to seven of them play for the Croatian national team, and the fact that they did not have even one serious scoring opportunity gives him pride, Sandro Perkovic added.
Noah are among the 16 current leaders, and 24 clubs will make it to the Conference League playoffs.
In Matchday 2, Noah will be hosted by Universitatea Craiova (Romania) on October 23.
