Champions League: Match results of the day

Last season’s Italian Serie A runners-up Inter Milan were hosted by Ajax, and they won 2-0 in Wednesday’s first-round matches of the UEFA Champions League.

Reigning German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich played at home against to FIFA Club World Cup winners Chelsea and won 3-1. English striker Harry Kane scored twice for Bayern. Also, an own goal was also registered for Bayern.

English Premier League titleholders Liverpool defeated Atletico Madrid 3-2 at home.

Defending Champions League and French Ligue 1 champions PSG played Atalanta in Paris and won 4-0.

Also, Slavia Praha and Bodo/Glimt played a 2-2 draw, while Olympiacos and Pafos played a goalless draw.
