Armenia international Nair Tiknizyan cries after being eliminated from Champions League
13:03 27 August, 2025Nair Tiknizyan, a full-back for Serbian champions Crvena zvezda and the Armenian national team, shed tears after being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League. In the qualifying playoff, the Belgrade club failed to overcome the Pafos (Cyprus) “barrier.”
In the second leg, Pafos had scored their equalizer in the 89th minute after a foul by Tiknizyan, and the match had ended in a 1-1 draw. In the first leg, Pafos had won 2-1, and now they will be playing in the main round of the Champions League for the first time.
Crvena zvezda, on the other hand, will continue their campaign in the main round of the UEFA Europa League.
