Grand Chess Tour: Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025: Levon Aronian is current leader

Levon Aronian (USA), the former leader of the Armenian national men’s chess team, is the leader after the first day at the Grand Chess Tour: Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025 chess tournament in Saint Louis, USA.

Aronian got off to a brilliant start, winning all his three rapid chess games on the first day.

In the first game, the grandmaster defeated reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju (India), in the second—Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), and in the third—Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Uzbekistan).
