09:10 8 August, 2025World No.16 Karen Khachanov (Russia) lost in final in the men’s singles competition at the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers tournament in Toronto, Canada.
The Muscovite Armenian tennis player faced world No.7 Ben Shelton (USA), who won 6:7 (5:7), 6:4, 7:6 (7:3). The match lasted 2 hours and 48 minutes. Shelton won a Masters title for the first time in his professional tennis career.
And Khachanov will rise to No.12 in the next weekly world rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The prize fund of the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers was $9.1 million.
