In the semifinals, the Muscovite Armenian tennis player faced world No.3 Alexander Zverev (Germany) and won 6:3, 4:6, 7:6 (7:4).
The match lasted 2 hours and 54 minutes. In the final, Khachanov will go against world No.7 Ben Shelton (USA), who defeated fellow countryman and world No.4 Taylor Fritz 6:4, 6:3 in their semifinal clash.
The prize fund of the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers is $9.1 million.
