Yerevan’s Pyunik head coach: I’m sad that we lost, but I don’t feel ashamed for my team, I’m proud of my team

Yeghishe Melikyan, the manager of Yerevan’s Pyunik, commented on their 1-3 defeat to ETO Gyor (Hungary) in the second leg of the second qualifying round in the UEFA Conference League. As a result, Pyunik were eliminated from the rest of this competition.

“The opponents deserved the victory. But if we had won, we would have deserved [it] just as much. I’m sad that we lost, but I don’t feel ashamed for my team, I’m proud of my team,” Melikyan said, in particular.

In the first leg, Pyunik had won 2-1 in Yerevan.
