Croatian head coach Sandro Perkovic of reigning Armenian Premier League champions and Cup winners Noah commented on their 3-4 away defeat to Ferencvaros (Hungary) in the second leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

“Congratulations to Ferencvaros for reaching through the qualifications round of the Champions League. I wish them a lot of luck in the competitions further. Also congratulations to my players, I think that most of the game was very good. We played against a really good opponent, and we gave everything what we have, and that’s why I’m happy, and we will learn a lot from this game.

We heard and we feel their [i.e. the Armenian fans] presence here [in Budapest]. They were very loud, they were very supportive. I would like to say thanks a lot to all the Armenian fans who come to the stadium. It means a lot to us. And I hope we didn’t disappoint them. As I said, my players gave absolutely what they had at the moment. I would like to have this kind of atmosphere, this kind of support further the season,” Sandro Perkovic said, in particular.

In the first leg, Noah had lost 1-2 at home.

Now the Yerevan club will continue their campaign in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, where their opponents will be the Lincoln Red Imps (Gibraltar).
