Wimbledon: Djokovic makes victorious start

Novak Djokovic (Serbia), the 24-time Grand Slam champion, made a winning start in the men’s singles competition at the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

The world No. 6 defeated world No. 41 Alexandre Muller (France) 6-1, 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 6-2 in the first round. The match lasted 3 hours and 21 minutes.

In the second round, Djokovic's opponent will be world's No. 154 Daniel Evans (UK).

The prize fund of Wimbledon is 53.5 million euros.
