21:02 2 June, 2025When I lifted the Russian Cup, I was very happy, my dream came true, said Eduard Spertsyan, midfielder of the Armenian national football team and Russian Premier League champions, Krasnodar. A ceremony of honoring the players of the Armenian national squad was held at the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) Technical Center/Football Academy in Yerevan.
The event was dedicated to the Armenian internationals who became champions in the national leagues with their clubs in the 2024/25 season.
Also, the FFA presented respective awards to these footballers.
“Becoming the champion of Russia was a dream for me and my team, which we have been pursuing for a long time. The season was very difficult for us.
Thank God, we managed to win the champion title. We achieved this victory thanks to faith, the character we showed, and the great support of the fans. When I raised the cup, I was extremely happy, my dream came true. I am holding my first [training] camp with the new head coach in the Armenian national team.
We are preparing for two friendly matches, which we should not consider as friendlies, and we must try to show a good game and win. We need those wins. As for my transfer to a European club, there is still time. Everyone knows that I want to transfer to Europe. I do not have a specific offer yet,” said Eduard Spertsyan.
The aforesaid Armenian internationals were awarded with nominal souvenirs by the FFA, which were presented to them by FFA president Armen Melikbekyan.
