Geneva Open: Djokovic wins on 38th birthday, advances to semis

The 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic (Serbia), has reached the semifinals of the Geneva Open in Switzerland.

In the quarterfinals of this tennis tournament, the world No. 6 defeated—on his 38th birthday—world No. 39 Matteo Arnaldi (Italy) 6-4, 6-4.

The match lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes. Djokovic's opponent in the semifinals will be the winner of the match between world No. 25 Alexei Popyrin (Australia) and world No. 90 seed Cameron Norrie (UK) in the quarterfinals. The prize fund of the Geneva Open is 596,000 euros.
