Barca clinch La Liga title
01:27 16 May, 2025Barcelona have clinched the Spanish La Liga football title, with two rounds remaining in the current season. They were hosted by Espanyol and won 2-0 in Round 36 of the La Liga.
Spain national squad's 17-year-old star winger Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. And Spanish midfielder Fermin Lopez netted Barca's second goal in the 6th minute of added time.
Barca have secured first place, with 85 points, in the current standings, and they will become La Liga champions for the 28th time. Real Madrid, in second place, are 7 points behind. Barcelona last won the La Liga title in the 2022/23 season.
