Italian Open: Karen Khachanov through to Round of 16

World No. 24 Karen Khachanov (Russia) has advanced to the Round of 16 of the Italian Open in Rome.

In the Round of 32, the Muscovite Armenian tennis player defeated world No. 101 Francesco Passaro (Italy) 6:3, 6:0. The match lasted 1 hour and 2 minutes.

Khachanov's opponent in the Round of 16 will be the winner of the match between world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) and world No. 64 Laslo Djere (Serbia) in the Round of 32.

The prize fund of the Italian Open is 8 million euros.
