Valladolid to bid farewell to La Liga

Real Valladolid became the first club to lose their chance to stay in La Liga.

Valladolid lost 1-5 to Real Betis in Round 33 of Spain's top football league and are in last place, with just 16 points.

With five rounds remaining in the current La Liga season, Valladolid are 18 points behind seventeenth place, which would have enabled them to stay in the top league.

Valladolid have garnered only 1 point in their last fourteen matches.
