European Sambo Championships: Armenia’s Arman Avanesyan becomes champion
22:49 24 April, 2025Arman Avanesyan has become European sambo champion.
Armenia’s representative defeated his Croatian opponent 9-1 in the final of the 98kg Combat Sambo competition at the European Sambo Championships in Limassol, Cyprus.
Earlier, Team Armenia had won 5 bronze medals.
Davit Hovsepyan took third place in the 58kg Sport Sambo competition, and Artur Malkhasyan achieved the same in 79kg Combat Sambo.
And on the first day of this tournament, Armenia’s bronze medalists were Hamlet Sukiasyan (58kg), Mher Merjanyan (71kg), and Avetik Poghosyan (88kg) in Combat Sambo.
