European Weightlifting Championships: Armenia men, women take 1st place in individual team standings
22:00 21 April, 2025The men's and women's national teams of Armenia took first place in individual team standings at the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships which concluded in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia informed on Facebook.
Armenia finished third in the overall medal standings.
Team Armenia won 10 medals (2 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze) at the European Weightlifting Championships. Armenia’s Varazdat Lalayan and Garik Karapetyan became gold medalists, Aleksandra Grigoryan, Gor Sahakyan, Rafik Harutyunyan, Anna Amroyan, Simon Martirosyan, and Liana Gyurjyan won silver medals. Garnik Cholakyan and Davit Hovhannisyan became bronze medalists.
