Miami Open: Djokovic suffers shocking defeat in men’s final

World No. 5 Novak Djokovic suffered an unexpected defeat in the men’s singles final at the Miami Open.

The 37-year-old Serbian tennis star faced world No. 54 Jakub Mensik (Czechia) 19, who won in two sets—7:6 (7:4), 7:6 (7:4). The match lasted 2 hours and 3 minutes.

Mensik is the lowest-ranked tennis player to win this title in the history of this tournament.

Last year, the Miami Open was won by world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

The prize fund of the Miami Open was $9.1 million.
