Russia’s Nune Asatryan becomes world boxing champion

Nune Asatryan (Russia) won the gold medal at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Nis, Serbia.

In the final of the 60kg competition, the 23-year-old athlete defeated Viktoriya Grafeyeva (Kazakhstan) 5-0.

In addition to the gold medal, the world champion received $100 thousand.

Asatryan was born in Sarnaghbyur village of Armenia’s Shirak Province. She is a three-time champion of Russia.
