Qatar Open: Novak Djokovic out in opening round

24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has lost in his opening round at the Qatar Open in Doha.

In the Round of 32, the world No. 7 Serbian tennis star faced world No. 35 Matteo Berrettini (Italy), who won in two sets 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.

Berrettini defeated Djokovic for the first time in his professional tennis career. His opponent in the Round of 16 will be world No. 51 Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands).

The prize fund of the Qatar Open is $3 million.
