Serie A: Inter defeat Empoli, Mkhitaryan plays in match

Argentina national team striker Lautaro Martinez, Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries, and French striker Marcus Thuram scored the hosts’ goals.
Former captain of the Armenian national team and Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who had missed the previous two matches due to thigh muscle injury, entered the pitch in the 69th minute.
After 20 games, Inter are second, with 47 points, and are 3 points behind the leaders, Napoli (21 points), in the current Serie A standings. Empoli are fourteenth, with 20 points.
