11:18 17 January, 2025Henrikh Mkhitaryan, former captain of the Armenian national football team and midfielder of Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan, has made a call, with "Freedom to Ruben Vardanyan" and "Freedom to Armenian prisoners" hashtags on social media, and reposted the message by former Minister of State of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), political prisoner Ruben Vardanyan, who is illegally held in a prison in Azerbaijani capital Baku.
Also, Mkhitaryan appealed to the United Nations, its agencies, the International Criminal Court, and international human rights organizations, and presented Vardanyan's message.
The fake trial against the former military and political leadership of Artsakh will begin Friday in Baku.
