World swimming championships: USA finishes first with 18 gold medals

Team USA won the first place in the medal count—with 18 gold, 13 silver, 7 bronze medals—at the 2024 World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) that concluded in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

The Russians, who competed in a neutral status, finished second, with 6 gold and 4 silver medals.

And the Canadian team rounded up the top three, with 4 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze medals.

China (also 1 silver and 1 bronze medal) and Switzerland won 3 gold medals, each.
