Paris Masters: Alcaraz is eliminated

Carlos Alcaraz, the world No. 2, could not reach the quarterfinals of the Paris Masters.

In the Round of 16, the Spanish tennis star lost in three sets—1:6, 6:3, 5:7—to Ugo Humbert (France), ranked 18th in the world. The match lasted 2 hours and 19 minutes.

In the quarterfinals, Humbert will face world No. 28 Jordan Thompson (Australia) for a spot in the semifinals.

The prize fund of the Paris Masters is 5.9 million euros.
