France Football: Lamine Yamal named last season's young footballer

Lamine Yamal, the 17-year-old winger of reigning European champions Spain and of Barcelona, has been named France Football’s young (U21) player of the world last season.

The Ballon d'Or award ceremony is in progress in Paris.

Yamal will be included in the top ten. He is the youngest (17 years and 107 days) footballer in history to be in the top ten for the Ballon d'Or voting.
