Shanghai Masters: Karen Khachanov out in 1st match

Karen Khachanov (Russia), ranked 25th in the world, has lost in his first match at the Shanghai Masters being held in China, and therefore he is out from the rest of this tournament.

The Muscovite Armenian tennis player started his campaign from the second round—the Round of 64—where he lost to world's 47th ranked Marcos Giron (USA) in two sets: 6:4, 6:3. The match lasted 1 hour and 21 minutes.

The prize fund of the Shanghai Masters is $8.9 million.
