In the other match of the day, Roma lost 1-2 at home to Empoli, whose goals were netted by their Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Gyasi and Italian striker Lorenzo Colombo—by penalty. Roma's only goal was scored by their Uzbek forward Eldor Shomurodov.
Empoli are sixth, with 4 points, while Roma have 1 point and are fifteenth in the current Serie A standings.
