Cincinnati Masters: Armenia's Elina Avanesyan advances to Round of 32 (VIDEO)

Elina Avanesyan, women’s 60th ranked tennis player in the world, has reached the Round of 32 of the Cincinnati Masters tournament being held in the US.

In the Round of 64, the representative of Armenia competed with Bianca Andreescu (Canada), ranked 166th in the world, and won in two sets: 6:4, 7:5. The match lasted 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Avanesyan's opponent in the Round of 32 will be world No. 11 Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia), who did not play in the Round of 64.

The prize fund of the women’s competition at the Cincinnati Masters is $3.2 million.
