IOC president Thomas Bach declares Paris Olympics closed

Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee, declared the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris closed.

And the Olympic flame was extinguished in the hands of French swimmer Leon Marchand, the four-time champion of the Paris Games.

Los Angeles will host the 34th Summer Olympic Games in 2028.
